OPENING WORDS
Priest: Dear friends in Christ, we are gathered in this house to thank God for the many blessings received while inhabiting this house, and to appreciate all the beautiful memories made in this house which has been a home to ……… family. We thank God for the good and the bad moments; the joyful and the sorrowful moments; for the seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years spent in this amazing home; for the children born and raised in this home; for the guests who stepped their feet into this home and blessed it with their presence; for relations who shared happy and good moments with us in this home; for the love shared between the father and the mother of this home, and between them and their children in this home; and for all we need to be thankful for in this home.
First Reading: Genesis 12: 1-5
Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 34
Response: I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall be always in my mouth.
- I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall always be in my mouth. My soul will glorify the Lord. Let the poor hear and be glad. Magnify the Lord with me; and let us exalt his name together. I sought the Lord and he answered, and delivered me from all my fears. (Resp)
- Look to him and be radiant, and your faces may not blush for shame. The angel of the Lord is encamped, around those who fear him to save them. Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him. (Resp).
- Fear the Lord, you his holy ones; nothing is lacking to those who fear him. The rich grow poor and go hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no blessing. The eyes of the Lord are directed toward the righteous, and his ears toward their cry. (Resp).
- The Lord is close to the broken-hearted, those whose spirit is crushed, he saves. For many are the trials of the just man, but from them all, the Lord will rescue them. The Lord is the redeemer of the souls of his servants; and none are condemned who take refuge in him. (Resp).
Gospel Reading: Luke 19:1-10.

We thank you for all the memories created in this house which will always be part of their lives. We humbly ask you to bless + and sanctify + this house. May they find peace in your divine will for them, and despite the difficulties they may be facing now due to their attachment to this house with all the memories made here, may they find ease and comfort that will strengthen their resolution to journey to their new home. and when they have left this house, may those who will live here and call here their new home be blessed with your peaceful and serene presence.
